Password Game Solver Suite

Three interactive tools for the original game's math rules. Unofficial, unaffiliated, and considerably more patient than the game.

Runs entirely in your browser. Nothing you type or generate is ever sent to a server.

1. Digit-sum calculator (the "add up to 25" rule)

Current digit total: 0. Add digits summing to 25.

2. Roman numeral checker (the "multiply to 35" rule)

Roman numerals found: none. Product: 1.

Valid answers: XXXV alone, or V and VII together. Watch for accidental numerals: every capital I, V, X, L, C, D, M in your password counts.

3. Atomic-number adder (the "elements sum to 200" rule)

Tap elements to build a set; the running total updates. Target is usually 200.

Total: 0 / 200

Why a solver page instead of one pasted answer

The original game randomizes several late rules per run and layers every rule on top of the ones before, so a fix in one place breaks the math elsewhere. These calculators re-check your entire password, which is what you actually need at rule 20-something when a new number just wrecked your carefully balanced total. For the randomized rules, see the chess method, Wordle method, and video-length method.

These tools run in your browser only; your password is never sent anywhere. This is an unofficial fan resource, not affiliated with neal.fun.

Frequently asked questions

Is there a solver for the whole Password Game?
Not a useful one: several rules randomize each run (the chess position, captcha, and location rules), so a full auto-solver cannot hand you one pasteable answer. This page solves the three math-heavy rules interactively and our method guides cover the randomized ones.
How do I make my digits add up to 25?
Type your current password into the digit calculator below; it shows your current total and exactly which digits to add or swap. The classic minimal answers are 997 and 55555, but the calculator matters later, when other rules force new digits in and break the total.
Which Roman numerals multiply to 35?
The clean factorizations are XXXV alone, or V times VII. Any other Roman numerals in your password count too, so the tool below checks your whole password, not just the numerals you meant.
