About The Password Games
The Password Games is an original browser game about the world's worst password form: 30 escalating directives from a fictional Vault Security Committee, a houseplant with non-negotiable hydration needs, and a vault that judges you. It lives at thepasswordgames.com, costs nothing, and requires no account.
The genre owes its existence to Neal Agarwal's The Password Game (2023), which we admire and are not affiliated with. Our directives are our own work, and the idea of a mascot living inside your password is an affectionate nod to the genre Neal Agarwal popularised rather than a claim of having invented it. Where we publish help content about the original, we describe it in our own words as an unofficial fan guide.
Around the game we maintain a set of genuinely useful password tools: a generator, a strength checker, passphrase tooling, and calculators. All of them run entirely in your browser. That is a design principle, not a feature: no password, generated or typed, ever leaves your device on this site.
Things we will never do: transmit or store what you type into tools, sell "premium hints", or put an interstitial ad between you and a drowning plant. Questions or corrections: see contact.
